June Lake Marina provides launching facilities, docking for boats up to 24 feet, full service motor repair, and a complete bait and tackle shop. We are located on Brenner Street, just three miles from the picturesque intersection at US 395 and Highway 158. Our beautiful location offers some of the best boating, hiking, biking and living in the Eastern Sierra!
Each spring, from mid-April through October, we form a tight-knit community in our picturesque mountain environment. We look for good workers, but also good people - reliable, interesting individuals who respect themselves and others and can handle the responsibilities of living and working in a small, diverse community. Employee Perks Wages start at $12.00. Perks include use of the boats, there are miles of hiking trails, and the beaches and waters of June Lake are pristine. Payday occurs twice a month.
Getting Here and Getting Around We are located about 25 minutes North of Mammoth Lakes CA. The closest and most convenient airport is Mammoth Yosemite Airport.
For Fun You'll have your pick of just about anything you can imagine. Take out a boat, a canoe, or a kayak and enjoy the lake for a while. Or you can play basketball, volleyball, or tennis on the courts at the park. Maybe you'll want to grab a book, play some music, hang with fellow staffers, or write a letter while curling up in the sun near the boat dock. The possibilities are endless. Your two days off are the perfect opportunity for extended adventures wherever you want to go. Many staffers take time to explore the beautiful peaks, lakes, and trails of the Eastern Sierra, literally in our backyard.
How to Apply We're accepting applications for our spring 2016 season. Please check out the job description below before you apply. We are looking for a two person team/couple to bring their own RV for the season.
We are interested in a two person team/couple for our Retail Clerk and Maintenance Technician openings.
Retail Clerk Perform general retail clerk duties in and around the tackle shop, assists with guest relations, and help to monitor marina operations and troubleshoot any issues that may arise. Must have good communication skills and a professional demeanor. Basic computer skills and customer service experience are essential; knowledge of fishing is a plus. Retail Clerk will need to be flexible, typically working five eight hour days/split shifts usually four hour mornings and four hour afternoon shifts for a total of 40 hours per week. Retail Clerk Physical Requirements Retail Clerk positions require constant physical activity, including, but limited to, standing, walking, reaching, grasping, bending and kneeling. Employees should be able to lift 10 pounds consistently and 50 pounds occasionally.
Maintenance Technician Perform general boat maintenance, help maintain marina infrastructure and grounds as needed and assist in the tackle shop. May deal with a broad range of issues from logistics to guest relations. This could include troubleshooting and routine maintenance of marina equipment. Typically works five eight hour days/split shifts usually four hour mornings and four hour afternoon shifts for a total of 40 hours per week. This assignment requires exceptional customer relation skills, professional demeanor, and an ability to take initiative and make decisions in the absence of management staff. Knowledge of boat motors and marina equipment is very helpful. This position requires a valid driver’s license and a good driving record. Maintenance Technician Physical Requirements Maintenance Technician positions require constant physical activity, including, but limited to, standing, walking, reaching, grasping, bending and kneeling. Employees should be able to lift 50 pounds consistently and 70 pounds occasionally.
