A nationally acclaimed Country Inn now in its fourth decade and the Ranch’s offsite seasonal Event venue offer the following employment opportunities:
Innkeeping Couple(or individuals) to join the management team to provide expertise and services in some of the following areas…we understand that no two people will have all these areas covered, we will hire others to meet all the Inn’s needs.
Food Services BLR: (primarily our Southwest Buffet Breakfast, picnic lunches, occasional special event dinners). Order the food, cook from our gardens, supervise the kitchen staff, plan menus, work with special event renters. 25 to 35 hrs/wk high season, 20 hrs/wk low season.
Innkeeping BLR: General innkeeping duties, from guest services, check out, check in, concierge, answering phones, emails, supervising housekeeping, doing room inspections. 25 hrs/wk high season and low season
Bookkeeping, Accounting BLR and REC: assist with paying bills, taxes, payroll, doing spreadsheets, projections, research on products and ordering. 5hrs/wk
Marketing and business promotion BLR and REC: Mostly Internet presence, updating, social media, specials and special events, website work, etc. 5 hrs/wk
Maintenance BLR and REC : repairs and troubleshooting, routine maintenance, (could include more advanced plumbing, heating, electrical, automotive, tech) during high season, painting, and room improvements during low season. 5--10 hrs/wk high season, more during low season.
Gardening and Events Coordinator REC, this work takes place at the Ridgewood Event Center, one mile from Blue Lake Ranch, open from May until November, and where we have our gardens and host 50 events each summer. This person will care for the grounds and gardens, and supervise a small staff. They will plant, water, weed, mow, and harvest flowers and seeds, supervise tent and event set up and clean up, perform some maintenance, tour renters and be responsible for this beautiful Event Center and grounds. 30 hrs/wk April to November.
Ridgwood Event Center Facility Coordinator : Works with the Event Planner on some weddings, does others on their own. Meets with renters, does tours, sales, timelines, set up and clean up from weddings, supervising a small staff. Orders linens, ice, other supplies. Prepares contracts, invoices and communicates with renters. 10 to 25 hrs/wk May thru Oct, 5 to 10 hrs/wk Nov to May.
Compensation Package:
Compensation based on specialized skills and expertise and how many hats you want to wear and how many hours you’d like to work, especially during the high season.
We have a beautiful two bedroom loft over the Ridgewood Event Center with utilities including internet and cable TV as part of the compensation package.
Two weeks paid vacation year one, three weeks year two. Educational leave and pay available as well as complimentary Inn stays for friends and family at our sister Inns.
