House Parents - Key West, FL

The Florida Keys Children's Shelter has an immediate opening in Key West for the position of House Parents. We are seeking COUPLES who do not currently have children of their own at home but have a dedication to helping children.

This position is responsible for the supervision and the facilitation of activities of residential clients of the agency. The position facilitates the intervention requested in the Service Plans regarding the care and development of residential clients with a focus on teaching age appropriate life skills. House Parents supervise the clients' daily living schedule and client chores. In addition, this position is directly responsible for the maintenance of the facility and assists in the upkeep of the program operation. House Parents may be called upon to facilitate or co-facilitate groups, especially in the area of life skills. This position will provide direct supervision of the academic component of the residential clients' program.
