Goshen Valley is currently seeking a mission-minded married housecouple. Applicants with up to 2 school aged children will be considered. The couple will be charged with the emotional, educational, physical and spiritual nurturing of approximately 7 teenage boys with ages ranging from 11-17 years. Goshen Valley is a faith-based, beautiful 160 acre wooded ranch in Waleska, GA with 6 homes, housing a total of 42 young men.
Goshen stands for a quality environment for youth in fostercare with a focus on spiritual growth, recreation, education and independent living skills development. GVBR was founded in 2000 and has served over 225 youth.
Houseparents are required to have a minimum of a high school diploma or GED with a bachelors degree preferred. Couples with clinical training will be given preference and houseparenting experience is preferred.
Houseparents live in the home for three weeks and respite one week in a separate home. Some of the benefits of the position are listed below:

Goshen Valley invests heavily in our youth providing the following:
- A financial incentive program for educational excellence
- On-site tutoring from certified local teachers 3 days/week
- A recreation budget to allow homes to bond as a family and youth to build memories
- A recreation program including organized team sports, group outings and Goshen-wide community building events
- A membership to the local YMCA
- Weekly allowance to begin teaching youth money management and responsibility
- Older youth are given the opportunity to work during the summer
- Younger youth participate in a summer camp on-campus that focuses on mentoring and character development
- Most boys have their own bedroom and bathroom
- Each home chooses a local church to attend
- Homes are provided a food allowance to purchase groceries
- All youth attend local public school
- Many youth participate in after school activities such as Football, Wrestling, ROTC, Cross Country, Chorus, Band
It is the goal of Goshen Valley that the home feel like a family and not an institution. Therefore, Goshen Valley accepts youth who are able to attend public school and who are able to operate within a family-style environment. These youth are provided with the opportunity to earn normal, age appropriate privileges leading to normalcy for youth and better long-term outcomes.
