Ranch Hand/Caretaker Position - central New Mexico, NM

We are looking for experienced Couple to help manage and run day to day operation on our family  cattle ranch in Central New Mexico.

* You must be steady and reliable hard workers that can work independently and complete jobs in unsupervised situations

* You must be willing to learn our ranch procedures

* You must be able to communicate clearly with owners about work situations/ both in person and when owners are away. You must be able to use email.

* You must be willing and able to work jobs and be responsible for ranch when owners leave for extended periods.

RANCH HAND/Caretaker  POSITION; Responsible for livestock, and the ranch as whole

      * Experienced persons with some knowledge in most areas of ranching, including:

              * Daily feeding, watering & care of cattle (cow/calf operation), horses, outdoor dogs & cats

              * Fencing & repair

              * Ranch road repair

              * Some basic building maintenance, painting

              * Small pond & hot tub maintenance

              * Basic welding, light carpentry

              * Maintenance of yard watering systems

              * Mow small lawn, trim plants

              * Wood cutting, weed control

              * Security

              * Other general duties typical of upkeep on this type of property

COMPENSATION:

              * Live in on ranch in 2 bedroom mobile home: furnished, washer & dryer, Utilities included

               * Use of ranch truck and other equipment for ranch duties

               * Salary negotiable, based on experience

THS IS A LONG TERM POSITION for a stable and reliable couple. This ranch is our home. We do no permit smoking nor excessive drinking. No drugs.

YOU MUST HAVE:

              * Valid driver's license and reliable vehicle (for your own use)

              * Clean driving record

              * Work references

              * We will drug test you

              * We will do background check (including criminal record and credit check)
