Description: We are looking for a retired couple or individual with an RV to act as a volunteer Camp Host at our field camp in beautiful Professor Valley. We will provide the RV hook-up and utilities; volunteers will live in RV on site. Duties include basic camp maintenance (including weeding and carpentry), acting as a host to visiting groups, and basic security of the camp. If the applicant is a member of a couple, the second member of the couple may be interested in one of our field cook positions or other paid positions to be found on our website. The camp is located about half an hour outside of Moab, UT, and less than a mile from the Colorado River.
We are an outdoor education non-profit and our field camp plays host to various visiting groups; mostly student groups, typically middle school age.
Qualifications
· Maintenance skills including carpentry and the ability to fix things that break at the site
· Ability to conduct necessary site maintenance such as weeding
· Customer service skills
· First Aid certification
