Ranch Manager/Caretaker Responsibilities:
Live on and secure 195 acre ranch. Caretaker housing is furnished or if you have things you would like to bring, that would be fine too. Utilities included. Pets are welcome.
Horses (Our personal horses -12-20) feed, grooming, stalls, cleaning. We will be hiring additional staff to assist with duties for boarded horses. We intend to have 4 ranch hands during off season and probably 8 during season.
Petting zoo (miniature goats, donkeys, piglets, and sheep) socialize
Maintain Vegetable Garden
Responsible for maintaining the physical appearance of the buildings and grounds, may include some light building repairs, painting, electrical and plumbing repairs, etc.
General Care and Maintenance of the facility would be the Ranch Manger(s) responsibilities. However, we will have a grounds keeper. Ranch Manager will oversee the groundskeeper. and other staff.
Inventory/reorder supplies,feed, hay, supplements
Operational knowledge of tractor and farm equipment including repair/maintenance.
Assist with special event set-up and break down, (we will be hosting various charity functions to support our 501c3) for fundraisers we will be hiring caterers, servers, bartenders, security, etc. We would need Ranch Manager to coordinate with the outside vendors, grant access when necessary and point them in direction where setup is needed. (Basically, assist them in doing their job on the property and make sure everyone has left at the end of the event.)
Three SFR’s on the property. The home closest to the entrance will be the caretaker residence. The main house and a guest house will require general upkeep, cleaning. We may ask you to stock refrigerator(s) and pick up guests from airport when necessary.
Additional responsibilities as needed.
Boarding/Rehab Income Producing Program (Property has EuroXciser and Equine Lap Pool)
• Responsible for courteous, efficient customer service conduct at all times.
• Interaction with Trainers, Therapists and Veterinary Staff when necessary
• Manage boarders, boarding contracts, payments and general book keeping. Will be utilizing Horse Management Software (equineGenie) for the management of the books, boarders, etc. Owner will also be able to access system from home and will handle vendor invoices and payments for supplies, bank deposits and general management of the business. Ranch Manger responsible for data entry , horse information, owner, health records, boarding fees and payments records. Owner will set up the database with our vendors, account information, vet information, trainers, etc. so that when you reorder supplies it will just be a phone call and you verifying delivery of products ordered. Owner will train on the system and be available by phone most of the time should you have questions. Software tech support is also available 24/7.
• Handle resident issues (Boarders) efficiently and effectively while maintaining standard of professionalism.
• Responsible for reporting any unusual or extraordinary circumstances regarding the horse owners, horses (boarders) or the property.
