General Manager Couple - Tapalque , Buenos Aires Province Argentina

Estancia La Margarita  (280 kilometres from Buenos Aires Argentina) is looking for the impossible but hope we are proved wrong. We are looking for Super General Manager Couple  who can speak Spanish, have  extensive horse experience and are  prepared to work all the hours under the sun when needed . You must be prepared to get stuck in - if the cleaner doesn't show you will need to clean - if the cook doesn't show you will need to cook something! You will both  need to be a strong characters and resilient. You will be running the show so you must have admin experience. You will also run the bookings.  

In return you will live in an amazing place, meet some wonderful people and breath fresh pure air all day and night . It really is a beautiful place. We as owners have run it for many years and you will be effectively taking our place while we explore the world a bit.

This is a once in a lifetime opportunity for a couple  who love horses , the countryside and new challenges . You will work hard  sometimes but you will have the time of your life.  

The estancia has been open to accept guests for over 20 years. Many of our guests come to enjoy the thrill of riding on the famous Argentine pampas, while others come to chill out in the wonderful parklands surrounding the estancia, or just lie by the pool. 

Your duties are too many to list here but you would be in charge of the daily running of the estancia; dealing with guests, working with the horses, cows, sheep and managing the volunteers, organising the rides, riding with guests, acting as the host and generally holding everything together. 

To assist in the running of the estancia you would have a team of people such as a chef, maids who clean the rooms, two or three volunteers and a couple of gauchos (more in the high season), along with various others who help the estancia run smoothly. We also have an office in Buenos Aires. You will have power of hire and fire and so you must be prepared to dismantle and put together a team when needed

We are looking for a highly organised  couple who have  some experience in doing this type of work. You must be prepared to get stuck in. You must speak Spanish, have horse experience, be available for at least a year, be extremely flexible, have unlimited energy, be trustworthy and up for the challenge and free to start . Accommodation and meals are included.

The estancia has had huge success over the past years and is mentioned in the book "501 of the Most Beautiful Places to See", as it's such a wonderful place to be

The pay is nothing to write home about sorry. We are planning to pay nationl wages  prices in pesos and it would work out to around 9000 pesos each plus tips. We are also happy to discuss means of improving the number of guests  on La Margarita and if you can do that we can look at paying you  more no problem .
