Successful candidates must be capable of working with the owner to develop a complete staff from to Guest Services to Housekeeping. The right candidate will have the capability to take this hotel to the highest level of customer service, cleanliness, food and beverage standards, and market penetration.
This position will report directly to the Operations regional manager of the hotel. The responsibilities include managing the daily hotel operations to achieve planned goals for the operational integrity as measured by occupancy, revenue, house profit, and RevPar index while maintaining company standards for guest satisfaction, quality assurance, and asset protection.
This position will involve Sales and marketing to local businesses, sports, religious and charity organizations, group reservations.
This position will have oversight of the housekeeping, front office and courtesy shuttle departments of the property. A hands-on approach is necessary to effectively manage the quality of customer service and guest suite cleanliness. This position will also be involved in the interviewing and hiring of new associates, as well as disciplinary measures.
Requirements:
- Demonstrated experience working with a Franchise Hotel as a Manager, Assistant Manager or Sales Manager
- Assists in the overall profitability of the hotel.
- Assists with the supervision of the departments within the hotel.
- Ensures the highest standards of service, quality and comfort exist for our guests.
- Participates in the selection of guest service representatives and housekeepers.
- Performs administrative responsibilities.
- Assists with room inspections.
- Strong communication skills including written and verbal. Ability to effectively communicate ideas, policy and procedures to other associates.
- Above average computer skills not limited to Internet navigation and research, Microsoft Office products, basic keyboarding.
- Willingness to learn all aspects of the hospitality industry.
- Excellent customer service skills and focus. Must have the ability to resolve issues with both employees and guests.
- Strong leadership skills.
- Working knowledge of and ability to analyze financial statements is a great positive.
