WHY DO WE SHOW EXPIRED LISTINGS?

Rancho Chilamate is an intimate Solar powered Guest Ranch offering guided horse back tours with 4 rooms for overnight guests.

Ideally we would like you to be here for one year and you would be required to start late August/Early September so as to spend a month learning from the current managers. 

 

What we are looking for in a couple:

 

1 of you MUST be a very experienced rider and the other have some experience or be willing to learn fast :)

 

1 of you MUST be a competent cook able to deliver three course 'Ranch Style' meals for up to 15 people

 

1 of you MUST be able to drive a 'manual shift' vehicle

 

Candidate(s) should have intermediate or higher Spanish, be very comfortable in nature, and be interested in exploring a sustainable, off-grid lifestyle.

Ideally this is not your first venture into a developing country. 

Photography skills would be a big plus. 

 

Generally:

 

The ranch is located 20 minutes from the surf beach town of San Juan del Sur. Couple will be required to lead rides and host guests at the Ranch in addition to managing horse care and staff. Hours are by no means fixed. Board, accommodation and access to transport are included as well as a basic salary after completion of training. 

 

This is a great opportunity for a couple who love animals (we have pigs and chickens and dogs and parrots and turkeys - that need caring for as well as 12 horses), enjoy living out in the countryside and like to spend their spare time surfing/learning to surf (we are close to several incredible surf beaches) and of course to experience living in Nicaragua.
