MANAGE A NEW STORE - SHARE IN PROFITS - New Town, ND
WHY DO WE SHOW EXPIRED LISTINGS?
We have built and launched a brand new private mailbox and FedEx shipping store in the heart of the black gold oil boom in North Dakota.
We are seeking a team of two self-motivated, ambitious, and entrepreneurial people with excellent customer service skills to work as a team to co-manage the store. This project is a profit-sharing position with a compensation package that will pay 25% of net profit, or a guaranteed base pay, whichever is greater. The business is already operating in the black and has huge potential for growth with the right management team. Salary increases will depend on your ability to cultivate the business to its fullest potential. At the end of a successful probationary period, a longer term contract may be offered.
This is an ideal opportunity to use or develop management experience. We are as interested in the character of our applicants as we are in management experience.
The managers will share:
• Housing for two people
• 25% net profit or $6,000 per month, whichever is greater
• Four weeks vacation per year (we are open to additional weeks off or rotation scheduling)
• $600 paid per month toward health insurance
Essential requirements for both team members:
• A strong, honest work ethic and commitment to our vision (efficiently serving both the local and the oil-based communities with excellent customer service)
• A caring attitude for others – it makes the store tick
• Accomplished in computer skills and office services (file management, scanning, emailing, graphic design, & editing)
• Detail-oriented, able to perform and track multiple tasks simultaneously
• Fit enough to be on feet all day with little opportunity to sit
• Able to lift at least 50 pounds
Store hours: Monday – Friday 8:30 a.m.-5:30 p.m. Duty hours are approximately 7:30 a.m. - 6 p.m. each day and two hours on Saturday morning.
Keeping the store clean (sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, emptying trash, cleaning bathroom) are a part of the day's routine in the store. Keeping the housing clean (kitchen, bathroom, and all living areas) is also mandatory. Team members must be willing to accept these as part of the job.
Why do you want this job? The oil boom has drawn a fascinating variety of characters from all over the United States and many from different countries. The speed at which buildings, roads, housing, and infrastructures spring up to support the influx of people is astonishing. Many workers here have left their families at home, work long brutal shifts, and are delighted to find our bright cheerful store. Many things make working here satisfying but chief among them are the warmth of the community and the variety of challenges. If you thrive in an environment where no two days are alike and enjoy putting the customer first this is the place for you. Additionally, we have built an apartment above the store so your commute takes seconds!
Who are we? We are two gals from Colorado who have taken the road less traveled at every opportunity. We were high school principals in the prison education system for 20 years, completed a year-long self-supported bicycle trip through 15 countries of Europe, and launched our own correctional education consulting business nationwide. Most recently, we have built Mail & More which offers private mailboxes, FedEx shipping, and office services. The store was operating in the black six months after we opened the doors. Now we’re ready for a management duo with fresh energy and transformative vision for the store to fly. We believe trust and honest communication between owners and managers is the only way to operate in partnership and make the store an extraordinary success. If this intrigues you, please email or call us. You will find more about us on our website including a couple of photos. We look forward to finding the perfect fit!
