Home Caretakers Needed...Birds, Palms and Bay Front Home - Chetumal (Mexico), ME

Hello, I am searching for a couple, two people, to live in my home during the months of May through September each year while I travel to visit family. 2013 is already covered. I'm starting an early search for 2014. There is no compensation. My home is in the tropics where those months are very hot and often rainy but the days are also quite gorgeous. The home is on seven and a half acres, in the country, on the Bay of Chetumal and is comfortable with full kitchen, workshop equipped with tools, and satellite Internet that works most of the time but struggles during bad weather. There is a fulltime gardener who lives on the property so there are few yard maintenance responsibilities. I have two dogs who stay with the property, Josh a doberman and Chula a mutt. I provide all the utilities and internet connection and you provide loving care of my home and dogs. Because there is a full time gardener, you are free to leave for a few days at a time and the dogs will be taken care of so you can visit some of the local sights. Chetumal is the closest city where there is shopping of all kinds, some good restaurants, hospitals and all the other services one might expect in a capital city. I may leave a vehicle but you can use the taxis or buses to get around if I don't. There are also two kayaks for your use on the Bay of Chetumal. Requirements: non-smokers, conversational Spanish, knowledge of and experience with electrical and water systems, the ability to tolerate a tropical summer frequently with temps and humidity in the low 90s ..the house is a hybrid and depends mostly on solar electricity with grid backup so knowledge of solar charging systems is a definite plus but not a requirement.
