The owners of a beautiful 740 acre farm in Citra, Florida offer a unique opportunity for an enthusiastic, up beat, hard working and self-motivated working couple with vision to not only manage and maintain but also participate in the development and implementation of a plan to restructure this agricultural and equine property.
Oak Lane Farm has bred Thoroughbreds, Hunters and Jumpers,and has hosted Olympic level eventing trainers and teams. The horses bred and trained by Oak Lane Farm include Young Jumper Champion Spirit of Alena, his dam Alena, a former Horse of The Year, Mr. Bockman, a current World Championship prospect, and Magic Darco, also a former Horse of The Year winner. Oak Lane Farm has been a USDA approved CEM Quarantine facility since 2004.
The farm features horse barns with adjacent paddocks to handle a total of 100 horses along with a selection of living accommodations for rent, cattle fields and improved hay fields. There are also three large greenhouses available for development.
Oak Lane Farm sits to the east of Interstate 75 and has significant road frontage on US 441, W. Hwy 318 and NW 165th Street, and shares a property line with The University of Florida (IFAS) Farm.

Particular skills required for this position include knowledge of horse sport, working knowledge and experience with tractors and equipment needed to maintain a property this size, mechanical skills, carpentry skills, experience with irrigation and plumbing and general farming experience, computer literacy and office maintenance skills including Quickbooks accounting, Microsoft Office, information organization, retrieval and purchasing.
This permanent position is available immediately. Compensation package to be negotiated commensurate with skills and experience. On-site living accommodation is an option.
