Indian Lakes Campground is looking to hire an experienced work camper couple for a part-time after hours camp host position for our seasonal campground.   Work contract is to go from approximately April 15 and end October 15, 2013.

Accommodations:  The couple will be required to live in our 2006 park model located at the front of the campground.  This is a very nice top of the line park model with central heat and A/C.  Park model workers will have $100/week deducted from their pay to cover their accommodations.  A park model couple can expect to make approximately $9,000-$15,000 during the summer. Electric, water, sewer, WiFi and garbage is included.  The park model is fully furnished.

Job Responsibilities:  The camp phone and gate controls are wired into the park model.  After hours answering of the phone and gate are required.  Managing the swimming pool including opening and closing the pool, chlorine management and vacuuming.  (Pool training provided)  Handling after hours needs, like opening store for early or late deliveries,  giving campground tours, doing kid's activities, pulling hay ride wagon,  re-filling propane, delivering firewood, patrolling the park as needed.  Work hours are also available in our camp store taking reservations, dipping ice cream, cleaning, clerking etc.

General Requirements:  Ability to lift a case of soda, Able to bend at the waist to dip ice cream, hear well enough to answer the phone, take reservations and assist customers, Able to give and collect the correct change to operate a cash register.  Have a great personality and be well received by our customers.  Able to be trained on our reservations software, "Campground Master".  Have a well kept appearance and the ability to stand for a 6-8 hour work shift.

Hours:  The first 14 days are the initial training/ trial period.  If it is not a good fit for the working couple or for the campground, it is during this period that the work contract may be terminated by either party.  This position provides the opportunity to work 15-40 hours a week each.  The work hours are less in April / May and Sept / October and more June thru August.  We typically schedule the hours so the couple is working the same days and off the same days.  We are able to accommodate days off as needed in most instances.  Must be able to work Friday thru Sunday and Holidays.  We are looking for someone that likes to keep busy and does not require a specific income because of the variable hours.

Pay:  All hours worked are paid at $7.25/hr.   Park Model couples that stay until October 15 will receive a $2-3/hour bonus for all the hours they have worked during the summer based upon performance.   Returning Park model couples will receive a higher hourly base pay from the start.
