California Ranches: Couple to Love the Country Life of the Salinas Valley

Property located in the beautiful Salinas Valley

We're looking for a man with solid experience in carpentry, plumbing, electrical for maintaining and improving several buildings, maintain small machinery. Man must be comfortable working with cattle: 4-10 head. Duties include grounds maintenance, house maintenance, lawn care, landscaping and future pool maintenance. Skills required are basic plumbing, carpentry, electrical and general labor skills such as using a chainsaw, weedeater, wood splitter, power washer, gas blower. Mowing and barb wire fencing (building and repair), noxious weed management, repair drip lines.  Must be physically fit and able to lift more than 50 pounds. Very small team environment under a ranch manager.

The woman must enjoy housekeeping and have a strong work ethic, and be very detail oriented. Housekeeping is needed 4 days per month, including laundry, and as needed for rental single family home move outs, and move in preparation. Occasional vineyard vacation rental cleaning is required. Lots of window washing, assist in organizing, and be familiar with standards of keeping a sanitary environment.

Must love dogs, the ranch seems to be a magnet. They choose us and we let them stay :)

Must be fluent in English.

Must be self starters who work well without supervision. Once you are oriented to the scope of work needed to be completed, you are on your own.  We will run criminal background check, drug test, and require references, and both people will submit live scans from the business of our choice.

Compensation: Starting: Ranch Hand: $15/hour, Housekeeper: $12/hour 

We would prefer you supply your own RV or travel trailer for a quiet space over looking the valley. Your only expense would be propane. If you do not own an RV, a one bedroom, one bath duplex will be available in the very near future.

The previous couple were with us for 6 years, and their elders held these positions 15 years prior. Alas, our beloved couple are moving onto to new experiences.
