FEATURED JOB OPENING: Live-in House Parents - Canton, OH

Pathway is a non-profit treatment foster care agency.  We are seeking live-in house parents who are active, genuine and committed to young people for our Family Home located in Canton, Ohio. 

The house parents care for four adolescent youth who have significant emotional and behavioral issues in a family-like setting.  House parents are responsible for the day to day task of maintaining the home as well as the therapeutic care of the youth.  The position requires the house parents to be involved in the education of the youth and to provide transportation to all required services for each youth.  It is important that the house parents be open to working through difficult situations and to address the needs of each youth based on the youth's individual strengths. 

The following qualities are what we are looking for in house-parents:

• Physically active                        
• Genuine and caring
• Well organized
• Able to work independently as well as with a therapeutic team
• Over the age of 25
• Has a high school diploma or equivalent
• At least one year full-time experience with direct supervision of youth
• Able to pass all state required training i.e. CPR, FA, Blood Borne Pathogens, Crisis Physical Intervention
• Possess a valid driver's license with a good driving record
• Able to adhere to and implement state mandated licensing rules
