Cascadia - Apartment Manager Team Needed - #692 Portland, OR

Cascadia seeks a two-person manager/maintenance team to work and reside at Midland Commons located in SE Portland. The schedule for this position consists of 10 office hours and 20 hours of cleaning and maintenance responsibilities per week.

The Apartment Manager will live on-site in a large, two bedroom, 919sq. ft., one bathroom apartment. The apartment complex is an independent living site for persons diagnosed with a severe and persistent mental illness. Rent will be provided, basic utilities will be covered (i.e. water, sewer, gas) and the incumbent will be paid an hourly wage.

The Apartment Manager will be responsible for:

• collecting and depositing rents
• keeping deadlines
• grounds keeping
• cleaning
• delivering notices
• apartment inspections
• helping tenants with paperwork
• meeting inspectors and vendors
• tending to tenant issues

Requirements:

This position requires that the incumbent must have:

• the ability to lift 20 pounds
• the ability to operate computer hardware and software at a level needed to effectively perform job functions
• good communication skills and the ability to relate with people on numerous levels
• Some basic janitorial/maintenance skills

Apartment Manager experience and landlord tenant law knowledge is preferred.
