Live-in Domestic Couple position -Dallas,TX – No smoking household
For couple with no children
Formal household and formal service
The couple must be professional, pleasant, hardworking, reliable, honest, flexible and willing. Their heart must be in their job, committed and responsible. Must be pro-active, discreet and professional. Trust and respect is important. Past experience and longevity in a job. Proficient in English Language. Knowledge of Spanish is an asset but not necessary.
Joint Job Duties and Responsibilities:
- Joint duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to: managing property, valet, table service, chauffeur, auto maintenance, shopping, minimal indoor and outdoor gardening, minor household repairs, securing outside assistance for other repairs, arranging flowers, cooking, laundry and ironing and vacuuming when needed (there is a live out housekeeper) and assist in general housekeeping, as well as maintaining household supplies, care for silver and antiquities and employers delicate clothing and personal belongings.
- Manage the entire household when employers are not in residence. Ensure that everything is in good order, in place, well stocked and replenished, etc. to keep the property and household in tip-top condition. Manage all service providers and schedule carpet cleaning, window washing, pest control, pool maintenance, etc.
- Employers entertain both large and small groups – Menu planning, provisions and preparation. When caterers are used to work with them and keep an eye on things.
- Be on call and available at all times when employers are in residence. Whenever the employers’ are in residence, perform such services as requested.
- Joint duties and responsibilities may be divided according to expertise, experience and training. In this regard one of you shall be primarily responsible to manage the household checking account and provide records for bookkeeping. Basic computer skill is a must.
- Supervise and assist Daily helps.
- Serve as caretakers and assume responsibility for the property. The property should never be left vacant at any time; there must always be someone staying at the residence so coordination with daily help is important as we have a dog and cat. This has to be taken into consideration when planning to take personal days, planning and coordination
- Willing to learn and attend courses where necessary.
- Coordinate with suppliers and set up appointments with numerous maintenance people e.g. plumbers, pool maintenance, electrician etc.
- Take care of dog and cat.
