We are seeking a dynamic and energetic team or individual to maintain and enhance the high standards of our luxurious 8 bedroom custom built European Boutique Chalet.
The chalet host position requires flexibility and knowledge in all areas of hospitality with a focus on creating gourmet 3 course breakfasts, guest services, facilitating each and every visit, and detailed housekeeping.
This position will appeal to a duo team who has a zest for life and feels rewarded in continuing the 5 star experience year round. The ability to multi task from gourmet chef, housekeeper, guest relations, and coordinating is essential. The team will be the ultimate concierge ensuring all aspects of stay are at the highest standards.
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Cook and Serve a Gourmet 3 Course breakfast to a maximum of 16 guests.
- Full Responsibility of the Guest Experience. Performing various functions that include - check in/out, address guest concerns & questions, ensure all aspects of each and every retreat package has been communicated to the guest.
- Continual Daily Liaison with the Owner.
- Responsible for the Chalet’s management: housekeeping (guest rooms and common areas, maintenance, safety (ensure doors are locked - 11pm curfew -doors are locked), attractiveness (all common areas including yard). Must have a passion for cleaning and take pride that each and every corner is spotless.
- Manage and Coordinate Wellness Packages with Guests & Yoga Teachers
- Oversee the purchase of supplies and services for the delivery of the Inn’s programs and conduct ongoing inventories of Inn supplies in coordination with owner.
- Must possess a track record of providing exceptional service experiences balanced with operational efficiency
- Must demonstrate the skill to implement and maintain a five star customer service culture in a long –term, consistent manner
- Must have experience with Excel, Word and hotel reservation software
- Must be able to handle difficult situations with tact & diplomancy
- Must have the ability to work under pressure and be able to prioritize tasks
- Must have excellent organizational and communication skills
- Must have a willingness to work flexible hours
- Previous relevant experience is preferred
Expectations:
- Role to start as soon as able to be onsite at the Chalet
- Compensation to start immediately after onsite at the Inn and taking over responsibilities
- Chalet Hours are 7am-11pm
Compensation:
- Private Bedroom & Bath + All utilities electric, gas, water, TV and internet, parking are included. In house laundry. Use of full gourmet kitchen for personal meal preparation ($1200/month)
- + base salary (paid $600-$700(depending on experience)/individual every two weeks)
- At least 1 day a week off work full duties (meaning no working at the Chalet - perhaps very light guest request - but only if available)
- At least 2 consecutive full days off a month
- 2 consecutive weeks fully paid salary for vacation in the summer per year
