Working Couple wanted for beautiful private equine estate - Chester, NY

Beautiful private 120 acre estate in Chester, NY  is seeking a mature reliable couple to run the day to day operations of the farm, stables, owner’s house and guest house. 

Responsibilities:

-          Care of the farm and animals that include horses, donkey, goats, poultry, fish, dogs and cats.

-          Landscaping and maintenance of grounds, vegetable garden and greenhouse.

-          General repairs and maintenance of the structures, accessory buildings, pastures and trails.

-          Vehicle maintenance that includes UTV’s, ATV’s, Golf Carts, Tractors, Lawn Mowers, Snowmobiles, Boats

-          Housekeeping, laundry, errands, window washing, patio furniture cleaning and maintenance

-          Preparation for each new season

-          Vegetable and fruit collection, grocery shopping and occasional cooking

-          Assisting setup and cleanup of social events

Requirements:

-          Knowledgeable in the operation of tractors, lawn mowers, snow blowers and other farm machinery

-          Horse knowledge and horse care experience

-          Be able to drive trucks and trailers of varying sizes

-          Detailed with Housekeeping experience

-          Professional and respectful

-          Structured and process driven

Advantageous skills

-          Cooking experience

-          Carpentry

-          Engine maintenance and repair

-          Horse skills

Restrictions:

-          No dogs (exception will be made for dachshunds)

-          No children

-          No smoking

Hours:

-          Daily animal care as required.

-          Fulltime Friday through Monday and 2-3 hrs per day Tuesday through Thursday.

-          Be available 24/7 in case of an emergency.

Salary Package of $63,720 made up as follows

-          $31,000 in salary

-          Apartment (on farm) – worth $15,000

-          Annual Utility budget - $5,000

-          Vehicle with Diesel budget - $3,000

-          Vegetable, fruit and produce - $3,000 value

-          Health insurance - $6,720

-          Paid Time Off

-          Optional work on beautiful private island in the Bahamas for 2 months per year

-          Free boarding and feed for up to two horses
