Volunteer Campground Host(s) - Flagler Beach, FL

Camp for FREE at Gamble Rogers Memorial State Recreation Area as a June 2021 campground host! Campground hosts answer questions, help with maintenance and are available for late-night emergencies. A campsite is provided in return at no charge offering 30, 50 and 110 electric, water and sewer hookup. Couples welcome!

Volunteer Position Title: Campground Host

Job Type: Maintenance

Month Availability:

June 1^st-30^th 2021

Time Commitment: Three days on, three days off (minimum) in rotation for a total of 25 hours per week

Regular Job Duties: As the campground host you would serve as the camping area's Ambassador and point of contact to overnight guests and visitors. Campground Hosts are a vital part of day to day operations at Gamble Rogers Memorial State Recreation Area.

Knowledge/Skills/Experience Preferred:

• General household maintenance skills
• Excellent communication skills
• Knowledge of campground and park regulations

Knowledge/Skills/Experience Required:

• Be able to work 25 hours a week indoors and outdoors and in all weather conditions
• Be comfortable working as a part of a team

• Stay in a designated campground volunteer site
• Have a valid driver’s license
• Be able to pass a sexual offender background check
• Be at least 18 years old

Training: All training will be provided in-house. Online related trainings required include Annual Combo Training, Bloodborne Pathogens, COVID-19 safety review, Harassment, Diversity, and Ethics.

Note: No one will be allowed to operate any equipment and/or tools prior to the appropriate training regardless of whether you have used the equipment and/or tools outside the park or not.
