Various Positions - Mill Creek, CA

We are located in the heart of Lassen National Forest in Northern California, just 15 minutes from the Southwest entrance to Lassen Volcanic National Park. On our 12 wooded acres, we have nine vintage cabins, an 8-site pocket-sized RV park, and an 18-site campground, as well as a 56-seat restaurant and camp store.

We are looking for adaptive human beings who practice kindness, are environmentally conscious, and are free-thinking to join us for our 2022 season. 

Work begins in April in preparation for our “official” season operating from Mid-May through the end of September/beginning of October.

Imagine waking up every morning to the sounds of birds chirping, deer walking through the forest, and squirrels frolicking as you enjoy your cup of coffee! Spend the summer soaking up large doses of fresh air, blue skies, and stunning scenery. This kind of magic begs one to explore, refresh & restore.

We take great pride and responsibility in honoring the rich history of this iconic 1930’s resort. Building upon the vision and hard work of the past caretakers, we’re pouring our fresh energy into creating a space for the next generation of mountain adventurers.

Available Positions:

+Chef: $20/hour + tips. 35-40 hours per week. Cooking American-style farm-to-fork cuisine for a restaurant of 56 person capacity. Cook menu items in cooperation with the rest of the staff. Ensure that the kitchen area, equipment, and utensils are tidy and clean. Check food and ingredients for freshness. Help with the ordering of inventory & restaurant stock. Able to handle work in a fast-paced environment. Prior experience is required. Catering experience is a plus.

+Servers and BOH prep: $15/hour + tips. 25-35 hours per week. Greet and seat guests, take orders, serve beer & wine, (must be 21) help with food prep, wash dishes, and include general cleaning duties. Must be personable, efficient, remain calm under pressure, and multi-task. Occasional split shifts and on-call work may be required.

+Housekeeping: $15/hour + tips. 25-40 hours per week. Provide thorough cleaning on cabins, shower house & additional accommodations.  May require heavy lifting. Occasional split shifts and on-call work may be required. 

+Camp Hosts: $975/month and includes FHU site. This is an on-call position for either a single person or couple, assisting campers with questions, daily bathroom and shower house cleaning, wood splitting, property maintenance duties, and being the eyes and ears of the campground. 

On-site living options:

-FHU RV spots for rigs <20’ in our RV park. $525/month rent (includes power/water/sewer) 

-Furnished room in the upstairs lodge with a shared kitchen and bathroom.

-Additional housing may also be available in one of our retro camp trailers with FHU if needed. 

Rent will be deducted from your bi-weekly paycheck.

Laundry allowances of $10/month per person.
