Teachers - Jacksonville, FL

Unique position for a couple that are Teachers looking for a place to minister.  A one room Christian school for 9th-12th grades, that resides inside a maritime residential program for non-adjudicated adolescent boys.  English/Math/Science credentials are necessary in some combination between the couple.  Administrative duties alongside teaching classes required for at least one person.  Duties include record keeping, reporting, understanding of State standards to set up curriculum for each resident.  Math/Science requirements include ability to develop low cost hands on classes for labs, experiements, excursions, etc.

Class times are Monday - Thursday 0830 to 330 pm.  Lunch break 12-1p for residents is supervised by houseparents.  Friday is a half day for administrative duties for school staff.  Support is provided by skilled houseparents, counselor, and administration.

Housing is aboard one of the program owned vessels or your own vessel or possibly an RV if applicable.  Prior experience living in small quarters is encouraged prior to applying.
