Sustainable Farming Opportunity for Couples - Cascade, VA

Dancing Creek Farm is a sustainable 30 acre farm in Southern Virginia. It's not just a business but a dream to live and work doing things that are kind to the earth, animals and people. Our primary business is long term dog boarding to provide discounts for military families and families in transition. We also grow and sell plants. Here at the farm we grow organic fruits and vegetables as well as raise hens for eggs.

We have a 30 X 70 greenhouse and lots of pasture. We are seeking a couple to spearhead an organic growing plan that could include growing produce, herbs, fish farming, greenhouse operation and beekeeping. We are savvy marketing & business entrepreneurs, however the dog boarding business and its expansion is pulling us away from growing and building a successful organic enterprise.

I am seeking a couple who has always wanted to live and work on a sustainable farm. They are energetic, healthy, conscious and self starting. They have experience in organic practices, permaculture, composting and maybe some limited experience in beekeeping, aquaculture and other sustainable practices. I don't expect you to certified in any of it but you must have worked with organic farms, able to launch and maintain a successful organic operation.

The couple I seek does not smoke, do drugs or any heavy drinking. They have an RV or camper (you can build something later) and ready to work hard. The opportunity allows you to step in and build a business with no money and share on the profit. If you need a stipend to live on I'll consider part time work with the dog boarding business. You'll be able to use the electric, internet connection, cable. This is a long term position with a three month trial. If you can show me you've got what it takes then the sky is the limit. We will all be very successful.
