POSITION PURPOSE:
The Self-Storage Facility Manager is responsible for managing operations and seeking to maximize the financial value of an assigned self-storage community. This position reports to the assigned Corporate Asset Manager and in a partnership, together works to improve facility maintenance, select contracted services, execute capital improvements, regular reporting, community and employee safety, and legal compliance.
Osprey Management has an immediate opening for an outgoing Team or Couple at one of our facility locations. The ideal candidate would have strong multitasking abilities and a minimum of 2 years sales and customer service experience.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES & REQUIREMENTS:
- Renting storage spaces based on customers’ needs
- Providing excellent service and building excellent rapport with new and existing customers
- Accepting payments and completing daily bank deposits
- Keeping the property and office clean and tidy, walking around the property performing lock checks and showing the units to customers
- Physical requirements of the job include daily walks of the property, cleaning the units and the property, opening and closing the storage doors (up to 50 lbs.), and similar light activities
- Other general office duties
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Willingness to work respectfully with people of diverse backgrounds
- 2-3 years of managerial experience
- Basic computer skills and proficiency in Microsoft Word & Excel
- Strong written and verbal communication
- Professional presentation
- Must have a flexible schedule with weekend availability
- Ability to solve problems involving: residents, personnel, finances, equipment/ maintenance issues, emergency situations, etc.
- Willing to learn and a drive to improve community/asset
- Ability to lift to 50 pounds is required
- Valid driver's license and clean background required in order to complete daily bank deposits
COMPENSATION:
- Base salary of $40,000/year
- FREE onsite living of new 3bed/2bath apartment, including utilities ($12,000/year +/-)
- Generous Monthly Bonus Opportunities ($10,000/year +/-)
- 50% Medical covered by employer, + Dental, Vision and other supplementary benefits available after 60 days
- Holiday paid time off
