Resident Couple/Team Needed for Self Storage Facility - Carrollton, TX

This is an exciting job opportunity for a full-time RESIDENT Management COUPLE/TEAM to manage our Self Storage facility.  The Resident Managers are the key to our success and must be professional, friendly and knowledgeable. They are responsible for the daily operation of the storage facility. You will spend the workday split between office tasks, patrolling the property and maintenance. We would like a couple that is dedicated and looking for a long-term position. 

***Please Note***  This is a Residential Property Manager position, meaning the employees are required to live onsite. The compensation package includes onsite housing and paid utilities.  Job and property are not conducive for children.

Benefits and Compensation

·       47 hour work week (Monday-Friday, 9am-5:30pm & Saturday, 9am-4pm)

·       Salaried Position ($33k for couple)

·       1 bedroom, 1000 SF apartment (approx. value of $1,000/mo with utilities)

·       Utilities included (water, electric, internet)

·       Free 10 x 20 unit

·       Earn 1 week paid vacation per year after first 12 months

·       6 paid holidays

 Manager’s responsibilities:

·       Maintain the company’s goodwill and provide great customer service.

·       Rent storage units and prepare leases

·       Ensure the facility is clean and well maintained at all times

·       Light maintenance and landscaping duties (ie. weed control, repair door seals, cut locks, clean units etc.)

·       Maintain accurate accounting of all revenues collected from rents, retail sales and deposit in a timely manner

·       Invoicing, collecting rents and handling delinquent accounts

·       Handle all aspects of operating a Self Storage facility in a professional and business-like manner.

·       Some marketing required

Skills and Qualifications:

·       Excellent sales and customer service skills 

·       Excellent written and oral communication skills

·       Excellent organizational skills

·       Positive, can-do attitude

·       Basic handyman capabilities

·       Moderate computer skills: Microsoft Office

·       Ability to learn management software

·       Valid Driver’s License

Experience:

·       Storage Facility management (preferred) but will train the right couple.
