Reservation Supervisor Job Open now thru August 15,2023 or until filled
Salary: $35,000-$37,000 yearly D.O.E. Full Time position with benefits available: 401K, Medical Savings & Medical Insurance after 90 days. Discount on store, propane and laundry. $50 site rent every two weeks includes FHU W/S/E, HD Dish and basic Wifi.
- Provide superior guest service either over the telephone or in person, by being enthusiastic, attentive, friendly and helpful. Handle all guest issues with respect.
- Greet all guests with a positive attitude and a well-groomed appearance, a smile, recognition and a proper KOA uniform and name tag.
- Follow all RAC/KOA guidelines and procedures regarding the handling of registrations, reservations, and refunds.
- Lead by example.
- Make sure staff is dressed and ready for shifts.
- Cover breaks/work any shifts that cannot be covered.
- Follow specific RAC/KOA cash and credit card handling procedures and properly use the computer, cash register, credit card, and various other front desk & office equipment.
- Oversee the daily, weekly, and monthly scheduled stocking and cleaning programs as requested by management for all front office and gift store areas.
- Promote your local attractions, as well as, the KOA system by value kard sales and referrals to other KOA’s and being knowledgeable of all national and local advertising and discount programs for the campground, store, other profit center areas.
- Contact other departments or supervisors (housekeeping, maintenance, activities & food services) when a problem is reported in a timely fashion.
- Answer queries regarding the campground services, fees, dining facilities, activities facilities, and travel directions.
- Assist Merchandising team with stocking shelves, coolers, etc.
- Follow communication protocols with multiple platforms: via email, chat, phones, etc. with proper grammar and punctuation.
- Work in a fast-paced environment
- Resolve conflicts with employees.
- Be an active participant in the hiring process for future employees.
- Check the daily & nightly checklists to make sure things are getting done.
- Help keep staff motivated, busy and focused.
- Do day sheets, deposits and count safe when needed.
- Talk with Manager and other supervisors daily
- Check and respond to emails, text messages, voice mail and phone calls.
- Manage extended stay reservations.
- Process internal paperwork and receipts.
- Train staff
- Support staff and delegate duties.
- Follow-up on all late arrivals and no shows.
- Manage departures with staff and other departments.
- Work with other departments when needed.
- Create and maintain a positive work environment.
- Make sure staff are following company guidelines/policies at all times.
- Inform General Manage of any problems or issues in the park.
- Manage inventory levels of registration supplies.
- Assist and work with Merchandizing Supervisor.
- Perform night security and utilize/monitor after hours phone when scheduled.
- Prepare registration schedules.
- Attend and constructively participate in management meetings.
- Inform General Manager of any items that need to be purchased..
- Perform all other duties assigned.
