Seeking a full time live-in chef/cook. This may also be a couple position. The 126,000 acre ranch is home to 3500 mother cows and has been family owned and operated since 1955.
The positioned requires food preparation for between 4 - 15 people per meal per day. During the work week (Mon-Sat) hours are very consistent; breakfast at 6, lunch at noon and dinner at 6. Saturdays and Sundays are flexible and we work to allow for free time whenever possible. We typically ask that the chef/cook provide meals through Saturday lunch with Saturday evening and Sunday being days off. Saturday evening and Sunday meals must be available but may be set aside for employees to prepare on their own in the bunkhouse.
The cookhouse was added on to in 2012 and given a new steel roof, siding and windows. The interior was also remodeled to create a separation between the large kitchen and the living area. The kitchen was remodeled in 2015 and is conveniently designed to prepare and feed large numbers of employees and has a commercial stove, fridge and dishwasher as well as other upgraded kitchen appliances.
The ranch offers a salary, plate per diem, and free beef. In addition the ranch offers health insurance, performance bonus opportunities and a 401K.
