We are a working cattle ranch raising quality natural beef. We focus on low stress cattle handling. we grow hay, irrigate, maintain our equipment and care for the land.
We are Looking for an individual/individuals to be responsible for a multitude of tasks on our ranch including but not limited to:
Office & administration tasks: mail sorting, coding and submission of mail & bills to bookkeepers, CPA & owners. Maintain livestock inventory & record keeping. Maintain government & consultant contracts.
Infrastructure maintenance:care of homes & yards. Become familiar with operation and troubleshoot smart home automation, HVAC & water systems. Home repair to your ability, perform yard and lawn care maintenance including lawn mowing, tree & shrub care. Swimming pool maintenance & care. Pest control. Scheduling and oversight of contractors when needed. (Such as window, HVAC, pool, etc.)
Small animal care: dogs, cats, chickens, sheep, pigs etc. Source & facilitate the purchase of weaner pigs and lambs to raise for butchering. Schedule and facilitate the butchering process for cattle, pigs and sheep. Keep chicken egg production up, raise new chicks when needed.
Rentals:home and/or VRBO mgt
Experience:
Office administration experience and property care maintenance required. Some ranching knowledge preferred. Horsemanship experience a plus.
Home automation, pool care, HVAC & water systems operation and care can be taught.
If you have ranching experience and would like to be involved in ranch operation the opportunity exists but the primary responsibilities are as listed above.
Salary:DOE includes housing
If you come as couple, there may be other opportunities on the ranch for your partner.
Depending on experience and abilities other possible opportunities include.
Irrigation
Remote Road and Trail maintenance: Keep roads and trails open for travel, free of obstructions (fallen trees, branches, etc.). Repair roads and trails damaged by runoff.
Weed control
Snow removal
Infrastructure: construction &repairing of buildings, oversight of hired contractors when needed.
Vehicles maintenance & care: Personal trucks, cars, ATV’s UTV’s. Fueling, washing, etc.
Equipment operation required. Some ranching knowledge preferred.
