Property Manager(s)/Caretaker(s) - Helen, GA

The team at Bison View Lodge Corporate & Family Retreat Center in Helen, GA wants to talk to you about being its Caretaker. The position can be full or part time and is a great opportunity for someone or couple who has worked in the construction industry, as a park ranger, hotel/hospitality maintenance industry, etc. 

We’re looking for an amazing couple to perform the day to day responsibilities of the lodge, and also work with our amazing team of vendors to make the lodge a “5 Star” resort experience for our guests. 

While only in business for one year, Bison View Lodge has grown considerably and is a 5 Star Corporate & Family Retreat Center tucked in the forests of the North Georgia Mountains, just 15 minutes from Helen, GA. What you’ll do at Bison View Lodge: 

This role consists of two jobs in one: 1) Management of the property and 2) manual style labor & repair/maintenance work depending on experience. (painting, minor electrical & plumbing, wood repairs,  etc) 

Position Requirements:

Must live within 30 to 40 minutes of Helen, GA. 

This can be a full or part time position depending on skill set.

Position is not typical 9 to 5 and requires flexibility depending on occupancy.  Mostly Monday through Friday, and weekends when guests are checking in or out. (You will have 2 days off per week… EX): If you work a full day on Saturday/Sunday, you can take a weekday off, or be flexible with your schedule/hours)

Be available to handle emergency issues after hours and on weekends on an as needed basis. 

Reliable transportation (truck helpful but not necessary)

Skills Needed:

Use technology such as Gmail, Google Sheets, etc. 

We use several apps to run our business that you will be trained on

You must enjoy manual labor like painting, replacing deck boards, light electrical/plumbing, repairing things correctly, seeing and identifying problems that need solved/repaired. This is dependent on your skill level. 

Can work independently but also enjoy working with people/vendors that provide services to Bison View Lodge

Primary Responsibilities

Day of guest arrival preparation 

Landscaping duties 

Keeping the exterior of the property at a pristine level of clean and maintained

Perform general repairs, maintenance, painting. 

Give tours to prospective customers & welcome guests as they arrive on property

Manage inventories such as  firewood, kitchen items, supplies & consumables

Inspect and hold the cleaning team to a “5 Star” level of cleanliness.
