Professional Foster Parents - Bilingual - Texas
The St. Jerome's URM Program at Rio Bend in Fort Bend County is seeking a bilingual Spanish speaking married couple to live and work in a home as Foster Parents with 6 refugee adolescents and/or young adults.
Responsibilities include:

providing family-style atmosphere, teaching life, educational and vocational skills,

assisting youth and young adults to adjust to living in a new country through support and guidance,

implementing service plans, coordinating with various professionals on behalf of youth to ensure youth needs are met including school personnel, therapist, and psychiatrist, advocating for adolescents, and

managing a home budget.
Requirements:

Bi-lingual in Spanish and English,

relevant education in human services field and/or experience with adolescents is required.

Experience of resettling within the US or living abroad is desired
-
creating a lifestyle centered on working with adolescents in a supportive, nurturing home environment is a must.
