Permanent Live in Couple or Single Houseman required for magnificent Chalet in Megeve, France

We are looking for an experienced domestic Couple or single Houseman/ Butler/ Gardien for a beautiful chalet in Megeve. The role covers the usual blend of household duties; ensuring the property is kept in good order when the Principals are not in residence, taking care of diy tasks and looking after the garden as well as the day to day housekeeping. 

When the Principals are in residence (approx 3 months of the year), the role would focus more on cooking, front of house service and looking after the family and their guests. You would be in charge of provisioning, ad hoc driving duties and making sure everyone is well looked after.

This role would suit candidates who are looking for a long term, permanent position in the French Alps.

You might have a background in chalet, villa or yacht management or may have worked in a high-end restaurant environment.

Duties & Responsibilities:

-General property maintenance

-Ad hoc driving duties

-Butler duties

-Front of house/table service

-Upkeep of wine cellar

-Maintaining outside areas with assistance from garden contractor

-Cultivating vegetable garden

-Cooking

-Shopping, menu planning

-Cleaning and laundry

Requirements:

-Prior experience working in a private household or perhaps a yachting background

-Tech savvy and computer literate

-Non Smoker

-Full, clean driving licence

-Fully vaccinated

-Working level of spoken and written French

-Ability to live and work full time in France

Accommodation provided: charming 2 bed cottage with living/dining area, and heated parking space.

Salary: €35-45k gross per annum, per person depending on experience
