Overview:
Our Campground has been expertly managed by a husband and wife team for 22 years. The park is located seven miles south of Traverse City, Michigan and is open to public recreational vehicle camping from April through October. It is a beautiful, high-end, family friendly campground that offers plenty of amenities and is conveniently located near many attractions in the Northern Michigan area. Situated on the south end of Silver Lake, our campground has a gorgeous sandy beach equipped with a boat launch.Each site features electric, sewer, water, cable, wifi, picnic table, and fire ring. There are 218 campsites, with numerous pull through sites. The Campground is owned and operated by the Michigan Airstreamers' Park Association, Inc (MAP). The 124 member sites are available for public camping when not in use by assigned members. The Park General Manager reports directly to the nine-member Board of Directors.
PARK GENERAL MANAGER
Job Responsibilities:
Properties management.
Responsible for overseeing the overall campground facility for the benefit of members and guest campers.
Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local agencies that regulate campground operations.
Maintain a positive relationship with MAP members and Board of Directors.
Develop and manage operational budgets.
Manage, hire, train, and motivate salaried and hourly staff.
Inspect all areas of property, address issues, and recommend areas for improvement.
Other duties as necessary for effective park operations.
Skills and Knowledge:
Exemplary customer service.
Basic computer skills including MS Office and relevant software.
Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing.
Well organized with excellent time management.
Ability to analyze complex problems, evaluate alternatives, and make sound decisions.
Safety conscious.
Ability to work under pressure and multi-task.
Requirements:
College coursework in recreational management a plus.
Property management experience required; campground management preferred.
Experience in working with governmental entities.
Ability to work evenings, weekends, and/or holidays, as necessary.
Clean background check and drug screening.
Must be able to read, write, and speak the English language, hear, and walk.
Must be able to perform tasks with moderate physical exertion, possibly lifting.
Valid, clean Driver's License.
Benefits:
Competitive pay rate of $40,000-60,000, commensurate with experience.
Variety of negotiable benefits.
RV Site provision negotiable.
OFFICE SUPERVISOR
Job Responsibilities:
Perform all tasks relevant to site reservations.
Enthusiastically greet and interact with members, guest campers, and customers.
Answer phones and run cash register.
Manage rental of campground owned watercraft (canoes, kayaks, paddleboards, etc).
Maintain campground store including ordering and stocking.
Bookkeeping and cash management of reservations and camp store accounts.
Maintain campground website and social media accounts.
Skills and Knowledge:
Exemplary customer service.
Basic computer skills.
Experience in retail environments.
Requirements:
High School completion, college coursework a plus.
Ability to work evenings, weekends, and/or holidays, as necessary.
Clean background check and drug screening.
Must be able to read, write, and speak the English language, hear, walk, and lift at least 30 lbs.
Valid, clean Driver's License.
