Lake side cabin getaway seeks new manager(s) starting as early as March 1st, 2022. Private managers quarters, 1,120 SqFt in size, will be provided to live in. All Utilities are paid for.
Seeking concientious manager with knowledge of general maintenance and experience with hospitality.
This is an established business located on one of Colorado's largest reservoirs just minutes from Durango. The property is under new ownership and is seeking 1-2 onsite managers to assist in running the property and assisting in facility improvements. The property is adjacent to thousands of acres of public land and walking distance to gold rated lake and river fishing.
We have 11 cabins and a central lodge as well as onsite horse stalls and a barn. The horse portion can be outsourced or managed in house dependent on manager skill set. We also have an outfitter license which allows for fishing and other outdoor activities to be offered.
Other than food, the position includes free lodging, utilties, and paid vacation time. The On-Site manager position has a salary range of $30,000-$50,000/year depending on qualifications. There is also opportunity for performance based bonuses.
Employment and operations are year round. We experience a peak season during the summer months and have a slower season during the winter. The winter months are a great time for managers to take vacations and work on smaller projects, as we shut down to 4 cabins during that time.
Main Responsibilities include: Making sure cabins are clean and stocked prior to guest arrival, managing online bookings and guest relations, grounds maintenance, facilitating site improvement projects, social media management, and tracking supplies.
Applicants must have basic maintenance skills, ability to work within online booking platforms, no criminal or drug/alcohol history. Preferred experience includes, familiarity with hospitality industry, guest relations, basic financial understanding, construction/renovation projects, and a love for the outdoors.
