Motel Managers - Encinitas, CA

A small, independent, family owned business, looking for a friendly, outgoing, couple to manage their motel. We are located 2 blocks from Moonlight Beach in Encinitas, California. Named one of the best surf towns in the world, Encinitas, located 30 minutes from San Diego, offers eclectic shops, wonderful restaurants, and overall good vibes!

If you are a couple with excellent people skills, 5 years of experience in hotel management, and are energetic self-starters, we would like to meet with you!

This is a full-time, salaried position. An on-site apartment is available.

Customer service is paramount to us. Your responsibilities include:

• Greeting everyone with a smile.
• Overseeing all motel operations.
• Prioritizing guests and their needs.
• Assisting in all areas of the property.
• Train, supervise and motivate staff. Manage schedule and workflow.
• Monitor overall condition of all guest rooms, public areas and outside grounds.
• Maintain effective revenue management techniques to maximize hotel revenue. Prepare financial reports.
• Knowledge of Employment laws and regulations.
• Must be available to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends and holidays.

The ideal candidates will have:

• 5 years of experience in Hotel Management.
• BS in Hospitality Management or equivalent.
• Are personable and enthusiastic.
• Have a strong office background, as well as housekeeping, basic sales and revenue experience.
• Highly motivated and self-directed.
• Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written skills.
• Night Auditing experience.
• Thorough understanding of Excel and Word.PMS background a plus.
• Strong organizational and problem solving skills.
• Proficiency in English.

A background check will be required.
