What we offer:
We consistently support our teams in their ability to make decisions best for the business. We make sure you are comfortable and settled in your new home, hence we offer a fully furnished 2-Bedroom Apartment inclusive of internet, cable TV and all utilities.
Along with an annual bonus of up to $3500, our Management Couple/Team will get an annual salary of $30,000-$35,000.
You are also eligible for 2 weeks of vacation annually!
About you:
This is a full-time, live on-site, 365 days a year position, suitable for a Management Couple/Team who are ready to hit the ground running and see themselves settle in the West Texas area running a 20 room motel which will be expanding over the coming year.
We are looking for an ideal couple/team who are customer service focused, dynamic, energetic, and self-motivated, looking for a rewarding position like running your own business. It is easier to be accountable when you are doing what you like to do!
This position requires a structured lifestyle geared to guest hospitality and understanding the workload changes daily according to guest traffic and guest needs. Occasional after-hours guest interaction and communication can be expected.
The couple applicant must have exceptional customer service, have a willingness to learn, have computer skills, can multi-task, be detail oriented and be willing to perform maintenance tasks as needed.
Being part of the local community and liaising with the people around you must come naturally to you.
About the Role:
Applicants must have the ability to collectively handle all aspects of daily operations which includes and is not limited to –
- Front desk duties – reservations, inquiries, check in and check out, billing, reconciliation of the daily takings, report generation as well as attending to guests outside hours of operation.
- Handling guest issues with tact and composure – a positive customer service is the key to getting 5* reviews and increasing market presence.
- Housekeeping and laundry – Oversee cleaning of rooms to maintain a high standard, ensure the team members complete daily laundry and all-around cleanliness is maintained. It is the responsibility of the Management Couple/Team to complete daily rooms and laundry in the absence of any team members until alternate housekeepers are sourced and hired.
- Repairs to maintain the property – source and hire a handyman where necessary to assist with attending to faults within the rooms in timely manner, replacement of lights, faucets, blocked toilets, leaks, locks, etc.
- Payroll – accurate payroll to be completed and submitted bi-weekly in accordance with guidelines set for hours allocation and agreed pay rates.
- Reports – petty cash to be maintained and reported bi-weekly, new day summary reports and any other as required by the company.
- Local community presence – to be active in the area and know the local community to gather firsthand information in order to grow the business.
- Recruitment and Training – source local help as and when required and train them to a high standard to assist you to run and maintain the property.
- Other duties as and when requested by the Corporate Office.
Other Requirements:
- Customer Service experience is a must
- A valid driver license and your own vehicle is an advantage in West Texas to navigate around
- Advanced Computer skills – use of Microsoft Office, Emails, troubleshoot basic internet and phone issues on-site, take and make reservations and learn to efficiently use the PMS used at the property
- Basic maintenance skills preferred
- Prior motel experience preferred
