WHY DO WE SHOW EXPIRED LISTINGS?
Thank you for your interest in our Summer Part Time Position near Yellowstone Park ! Our propety and RV site are in the most beautiful location we know of, and this is the best time of the year. This is a paid position, ($1500/Mo plus free site and utilities).
We have 3 log cabins in the small mountain town of Silver Gate, MT. Our guests stay an average of 5 nights. They are on their own during their stay as these are advertised as VRBO homes, or vacation rental by owner, so you are not expected to do maid service while they are there. Silver Gate is remote. We have limted wifi and a private landline on the property for you, but no cell service. The town of Cooke City 3 miles away has unlimited wifi at the Chamber of Commerce. There's 2 small general stores within a minute's walk from our place and another one 3 miles away in Cooke City. The closest real grocery store is in Gardiner, MT, 55 miles through Yellowstone Park.
Your main job is to do a complete turnover when one of our 3 cabins have a guest check out. This includes cleaning, laundry, and maybe leaving a nice welcome note for them. The grounds are beautiful, with a creek flowing through. It also flows right by your RV site! We hope you would feel ownership of our property, including watering the lawns, mowing, trimming, and some maintenance projects. We live 4 hours away in Jackson, Wy and visit every few weeks.
This is a part time position for 2 people. It averages about 40 hours/week split between the two of you. There are many days that you have off. Several times, there are 3 and 4 day blocks where guests are checked in and about touring Yellowstone and the amazing Beartooth Mountains. This area is the best! We will need help starting immediately as our care couple had an injury and needed to resign. The position goes through September.
We are located at high elevation, 7400 feet. This poses some health challenges. Oxygen is low and a strong heart/lungs is a must. We prefer no pets and non-smokers. The nights will be cool in September so you'll need a heater in your RV. Summer days are mild and we get a lot of sunshine. It can also get rainy for short spells. We have nice trees on the property for afternoon shade.
