Management/Maintenance Couple - Oroville, WA

We are looking for another couple to complete our team here at our Motel.  We have a long history of consistantly high ratings, and happy repeat customers.  We are located in Oroville, WA, on Rt 97, about 5 miles south of the Canadian border crossing of Osoyoos.  Osoyoos is also the name of the lake which is a few miles up the road.  It's the warmest lake in Canada, and just across the border, the area is known as the "Canadian Riviera".  Over on this side, things are quiet.  There are no stop lights here.  Definitely look up the location before you apply, because the remoteness is not for everyone.  With that said, we have 2 grocery stores, 2 pharmacies, multiple restaurants, and lots of recreation of all types nearby.

We are looking for a couple to support us by covering the front desk, as well as assisting with housekeeping on an as-needed basis.  The front desk responsibilities would include: answering the phone, taking reservations, taking payments, adjusting room assignments, responding to guest needs for supplies, making and stocking coffee/tea supplies in the lobby, cleaning the lobby area, monitoring security footage, and light property upkeep (sweeping up front area mostly).  Housekeeping responsibilities can include cleaning rooms, operating commercial laundry, emptying garbage, sweeping the lot, and maintaining supply rooms.

We have been very lucky with past staff to have had very good communication and flexibility for everyone. We are looking for someone who is a good communicator and able to think quick and make decisions (within reason) in our absence. We expect to be able to leave you in charge for at least overnight fairly quickly. We are expecting a full time (~40 hours) commitment total per week. Housing provided is a furnished small 1 bedroom apartment with all utilities including cable and internet. The apartment is located on the second floor and there is no elevator.
