WHY DO WE SHOW EXPIRED LISTINGS?
Our RV Park and Lodge is accepting applications for a year-round outgoing and honest campground host/host couple, with good customer service skills.
Duties include greeting guests, checking them in, grounds keeping (mowing, weed whacking, raking etc.).
Watering plants, trees, and shrubs, selling propane, taking care of recycle, collecting garbage, cleaning restrooms/showers/laundry, operating and maintaining backhoe (checking tire pressure, greasing etc.). Pest control (moles, spiderwebs etc.) Keeping an eye on the park, making sure rules are followed (dogs on leash, speed limit, etc.) And performing necessary repairs.
We prefer the host(s) to be handy, to operate a chainsaw, use the log splitter, fix a broken waterline, repair a spigot, replace a breaker, unclog a clogged drain pipe or sink, help install a cable box, and other small repairs. Host needs to be able to operate a backhoe.
Our park is appr. 6 acres, quiet, well-kept (30 sites), and has a lot of repeat business (mainly fishermen), with 60% permanent residents. Host also has to collect rent payments from four motel rooms and two other rentals.
This is a position for 4 days a week, Sunday, Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday. You receive your site including utilities (water, 50 amp electricity, sewer, and wifi) plus $550/month. Official host hours are 10AM - 7PM. During those hours host needs to be available at all times for our guests, with the occasional early or late check-in. Actual working hours are no more than 4 - 5 hours/day.
Occasional projects may be availabe at times and will be paid additionally at $ 13.50/hour.
We are located 50 miles east of Portland Oregon on the Washington side of the Columbia River Gorge National Scenic Area.
