Job Description:
Reporting directly to the Director of Veteran’s Affairs for Serving California, the Lodge Caretaker Couple will serve as a passionate, personable, high-energy, motivated, self-starter couple with good communication skills and experienced in hospitality services. Be comfortable living in a remote area outside of Paso Robles, California. Be a qualified, hands-on professional couple with strong family values and integrity on and off the job to be managers and concierge of the SkyRose Lodge for Serving California. Couple must be equipped for Christian Ministry events on the property. Couple will be act as concierge staff to Lodge events to include; veteran events (male and female), marriage seminars, and outside company weekend events. Couple will work with Serving California staff and vendors during events to give guests the highest level of quality care possible.
Job Requirements:
- Provide hospitality and concierge services at SkyRose Ranch and the Lodge for guests, visitors, and owners.
- Communicate with visitors, vendors, and staff regarding activities and information regarding the Ranch and Lodge; including logistical transport to the lodge.
- Airport pickups of Lodge guest in company vehicle.
- Daily upkeep to include but not limited to: interior and exterior maintenance, daily housekeeping, laundry, plumbing, mechanical and electrical work, gardening and grounds keeping, landscaping, scheduling.
- Overall management of facilities calendar.
- Serve as initial point of contact for lodge use applications in coordination with Serving California Director(s) for approval.
- Manage files related to lodge administration.
- Overseeing vendors for: culinary, vehicle care, laundry, domestic animals, housekeeping/specialty cleaning.
- Assist with hiring and training additional staff for the Lodge as needed.
- Handling emergencies as applicable.
- Interviewing and supervising outside contractors.
- Be able to lift up to 30 pounds without assistance.
- Manage household accounts.
- Ability to plan and prepare meals for 10 to 50 people.
- Basic office skills to include but not limited to: answering phones, e-mails, marketing, management of office calendar.
- Any and all other duties as needed.
