Lodge Innkeeper and Groundskeeper - Talkeetna (Stephan Lake), AK

Stephan Lake Lodge, located in the Alaskan Talkeetna Mountain Range (100 miles northeast of Anchorage) is looking for a two-person team (husband/wife or couple) for lodge management and grounds keeping. The fishing and hunting lodge is located on a lake in a remote “fly-in” location. The lodge and cabins sleep approximately 25 people, but can expand to up to 60 people if state contracting is approved.

Responsibilities include: cleaning, cooking, food and supply ordering, guest relations, coordinating reservations, building maintenance, vehicle and equipment maintenance and repairs, and various support activities (boat maintenance, wood splitting, snow removal, etc.). Successful applicants will have experience in management, cooking, housekeeping, mechanics, carpentry, and working in a remote setting.

Employment period is May 1, to September 30, 2015, with the opportunity to extend to winter caretaking, terms to be discussed. Applicants without pets are preferred. We plan to fill these positions by April 1, 2015.
