The Lodge Caretaker Couple will serve as a passionate, personable, high-energy, motivated, self-starter couple with good communication skills and experienced in hospitality services. Be comfortable living in a remote area outside of Paso Robles, California. Be a qualified, hands-on professional couple with strong family values and integrity on and off the job to be managers and concierge the Lodge. Couple must be comfortable with Christian Ministry events on the property. Couple will be act as concierge staff to Lodge events to include; veteran events (male and female), marriage seminars, and outside company weekend events. Couple will work with staff and vendors during events to give guests the highest level of quality care possible.
Job Requirements
- Provide hospitality and concierge services at the Lodge for guests, visitors, and owners.
- Communicate with visitors, vendors, and staff regarding activities and information regarding the Ranch and Lodge; including logistical transport to the lodge.
- Airport pickups of Lodge guest in company vehicle.
- Daily upkeep to include but not limited to: interior and exterior maintenance, daily housekeeping, laundry, plumbing, mechanical and electrical work, gardening and grounds keeping, landscaping, scheduling.
- Ability to deep clean after Lodge events.
- Mechanical skills (ability to fix and/or repair as needed)
- Overall management of facilities calendar.
- Serve as initial point of contact for lodge use applications in coordination with Serving California Director(s) for approval.
- Manage files related to lodge administration.
- Overseeing vendors for: culinary, vehicle care, laundry, housekeeping/specialty cleaning.
- Assist with hiring and training additional staff for the Lodge as needed.
- Handling emergencies as applicable.
- Interviewing and supervising outside contractors.
- Be able to lift up to 30 pounds without assistance.
- Manage household accounts.
- Ability to plan and prepare meals for 10 to 50 people.
- Basic office skills to include but not limited to: answering phones, e-mails, marketing, management of office calendar.
Additional Information:
This is a year-round, full time position with salary and benefits, plus living accommodations in a separate house on the property. Salary is to be determined, but will commensurate with experience. Couples should bring competencies beyond those listed above, possibly including building and land maintenance skills. Has a general passion in keeping the Lodge clean, beautiful, and welcoming for guests at all times. Has good communication and social skills. We ideally seek a person/couple with a minimum of five years’ experience in a similar role, or someone who is currently working as an Estate Manager, Bed & Breakfast Manager, or similar. The Lodge Caretakers wears many hats, and must be sticklers for details.
