We are seeking an energetic and motivated couple that can do a combination of front office, housekeeping & maintenance work for a 15-unit property. One person can perform the front desk duties while the other performs building and grounds or the responsibilities can be shared between both people.
NOTE: This is a two-person position that requires two individuals to live together in on-site accommodations provided (details below). A resume for each person must be submitted to us in order to be considered for the position. Position to Our Inn is located in Indian River, Michigan. Our mission is to provide outstanding lodging facilities and services to our guests. We emphasize high-quality standards in our rooms.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Front desk:
- Answering phones
- Taking reservations
- Checking in guests
- Solving basic guest problems like room temperature or needing more towels
- Provide local recommendations and directions
- Housekeeping:
- Cleaning rooms as needed
- Laundry service:
- Laundry intake
- Washing, drying, and folding laundry
- Building & Grounds
- Basic repairs and building maintenance
- Painting
- Simple plumbing & electrical
- Upgrades to the Inn
- Lawn maintenance
- Other duties as assigned
Position requirements:
- Minimum 2 years in the customer service industry (hotel/motel industry preferred)
- Experience operating equipment such as a lawnmower, log splitter, leaf blower
- Flexible schedule
- A high degree of integrity, accuracy, and attention to detail
- Strong time-management skills
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Extremely organized
- Proficient computer skills
- Customer service and negotiation skills
- Conflict resolution with a professional, courteous, and understanding demeanor
- Must pass background & reference check
Compensation & Benefits:
- Living accommodations valued at $12K+ per year:
- 2-bedroom, 1 bath mobile home (530 square feet)
- Utilities, internet & cable included

Hours & Scheduling:
Front desk/housekeeping/laundry
- 40 hours per week, year-round
- Weekends, evening, holiday availability is a must
- Typical schedule may be: 7:30am – 3:30pm, 2:30pm – 10:30pm
Building & Grounds
- 40 hours per week during peak season (May through Oct), 20-30 hours per week during off-season (Nov through April)
- Availability Monday through Friday, with occasional weekend work
- Typical schedule may be: 9am – 5pm
