Live In, Experienced Domestic Couple - Washington DC

My long time client is seeking to hire a married couple who have worked together before in a domestic household setting with a proven track record of capable service and reliability.  The position is long term. The qualities that we are most eager to find are:

4.              Good work ethic and pleasant affect

5.              Ability to prioritize and work without supervision

6.              Flexibility to balance multitasking as it arises with an active family with 3 children with different schedules

7.              Ability to use good judgement and make the best use of their time as circumstances demand

8.              Both employees should be reliable drivers

9.              Health and stamina to perform their work

We have seen that couples who have a demonstrated history of working together harmoniously in the same household is a important indicator of doing the work of this position.

The day begins at approximately 7:45 am (breakfast for children) and continues through dinner at approximately 6:00 – 6:30 pm.  Staff  will have time for lunch and a short afternoon break if they so choose.  

Benefits include salary, medical and dental insurance, Simple IRA when eligible, 10 days paid vacation per year, five paid sick days per year.  In addition, you have all federal holidays off, which the family may ask to change if they need assistance (Thanksgiving, etc.).

Use of a car, partial reimbursement for cell phones, separate apartment in the home.
