Innkeeper Couple - Brooklyn, NY

Couple needed for innkeeper position at boutique B & B opening in Brooklyn in early Spring, 2015.   This brownstone is in the historic landmarked section of Bed Stuy  and is currently under restoration.

 Because we did not compromise the original floorplan, there are only 3 (generous sized for NYC) guest bedrooms available.  The bedrooms are on the top 2 floors. The 3 other floors contain the kitchen and event space for events for up to 125 people.  Duties include housekeeping, guest check in/check out, booking, minor maintenance (entire house is being upgraded and restored), and breakfast as well as assisting me with bookeeping and purchasing.  

As this is a small B & B that has the ability for electronically coded check ins, we expect the work hours to be extremely reasonable, particularly at its inception since it will require growth time.  It is therefore ideal for couples who either split the duties and wish to spend free time with other part-time work or a couple where one focuses on the innkeeping and the other either a remote job or outside home job.

Compensation includes two bedroom caretaker's suite (a couple with one child above the age of 4 is welcome), modest base salary with bonus incentives, utilities inc. cable tv., paid vacation and black out dates. I am particularly interested in couples who are local, business-minded, into "green" sustainable food, organized and friendly and who would like to receive extra income in commission incentives for booking events.

We are pet friendly and welcome a well behaved child-friendly dog.
