Houseparents - Elkhart, IN/St. Louis, MI

We are looking for married Christian couples who are interested in making a difference in the lives of children. Our houseparents provide loving care for boys and girls ages 6-18. Baptist Children's Home provides the home and is licensed for up to eight clients per home. Houseparents supervise each child's personal care, positive emotional development, general health and safety, educational progress and work with other members of the child care team. Houseparents are responsible for carrying out the treatment plans established in quarterly reviews or individual care plans.

This position requires a high school diploma or equivalency; associate’s or bachelor's degree preferred. Applicant must be at least 21 years of age. The applicants must agree with the mission's doctrinal statement and be willing to join and be active in a Baptist church associated with the organization. We are looking for stable Christian married couples who can model Christianity to the children. We are a faith based childcare organization providing care for disadvantaged children through group homes and foster care.
