Houseparent Couple

As a Houseparent Couple at Collins Home, you have the unique opportunity to help children from many different backgrounds find a place that they can truly call home. Our children come from across the Upstate of SC and range from ages birth to 21. We ensure they have a loving, Christian environment and opportunities to participate in normal everyday activities such as school, church activities, sports, clubs, music, etc.

Schedule: 10 days on, 4 days off (live-in position); respite housing is provided for off time.

Responsibilities:

Live on-site in a ranch-style home providing direct parental care for up to 8 children

Provide a loving, Christian living environment in a home-like setting with structure and stability

Be a role model for children & youth in your care

Provide educational support as needed (note: also have the support of tutors)

Assist with spiritual and emotional development

Plan, execute and teach independent living skills such as meal preparation, chores, etc.

Prepare written records and paperwork in a timely manner

Maintain house budget

Required Qualifications:

Be at least 21 years of age or older

High School diploma or equivalent is required
