Location in California that is moments from the Pacific Ocean is looking for a vibrant, health and fun loving couple with the ultimate in positive attitude and professionalism to join the team  we are rebuilding.  Most of our staff is retiring after 15-20 years and although we are saddened to see them go, the property lives on. This is not a management position and you will be reporting directly to the estate manager.

Housekeeping

The candidate should have housekeeper experience in a professional environment and be able to support yourself with an appropriate resume.  House is simple and has no children, except  when the occasional grandchildren visit.  The house require the standard cleaning of  laundry, dusting, vacuuming, assisting with picking veggies from the garden, gathering the eggs, helping with food prep and pet care. (no formal cooking) If you have experience with flower arrangements this would be  a bonus.  The position requires somebody that is comfortable working and directing themselves with minimal oversight.  Besides the main home there is also three small and simple guests homes that are cleaned on a rotation bases and easy to maintain.  Flexibility and possible occasional overnights might be needed to help doggie sit, you must be pet friendly

Gardener/Handyman

The candidate should have experience in gardening, although we do not have "formal" gardens.  The property has a lot of wild space so skills in tree chopping, cutting grass, trimming shrubs and manicured hedges, orchard care and pruning, chopping wood and working in the veggie garden will be your primary job.  Experience with weed whipping, gator, mowing and pruning equipment is a must.  if you can drive a tractor and bush-hog the fields great!! Their is a lot of general labor work that is required so you will need to be physically fit to take on this roll. If you have experience and skills with electrical, plumbing, solar or carpentry we would like to hear about your experience.

Other:

These two positions may be required to work different hours or different days, but that is not typical.  Generally the hours are Monday-Friday, 8.5 hrs, 5 days a week.  These position do not offering housing and as our local community is very small it is difficult  to find rentals.  Neighborhoods that do have rentals are Stinson Beach, Point Reyes Station, Novato & San Geronimo.  The road from Mill Valley out is very twisty-turney so you will likely not want to find housing in Mill Valley unless you are fine driving the road 2x a day.  There is also a campground in Olema that may offer long term camping arrangement if you have a camper.
