House Cleaner and Landscaper Couple for Historic Cape Cod Estate - Truro, MA

Seeking an energetic, personable, professional working couple to work together as a team to care for a large historic estate property on beautiful Cape Cod, Massachusetts. It is a vacation rental rented weekly throughout the summer, occasionally rented out for four days at at time to full weeks in late fall and early spring with occasional visits by owner and family. Property is usually closed from Jan – mid April. Compensation consists of private living quarters on the property plus $1000 monthly stipend from late April through November 30. There is ample summer employment available locally which you would be free to pursue while residing on our estate provided you are able to keep up with the caretaking responsibilities of our property. Job requirements: Provide full care of outdoor building and grounds, maintenance and repair calls, trash disposal, and guest changeover cleanings. The grounds keeping requires weekly mowings as well as weeding of beds, trimming of hedges, bushes, and small trees. Trash disposal consists of taking trash to the transfer station. Guest changeover cleanings take about 10 hours (5 hours for 2 experienced cleaners). Must know how to do housekeeping and keep a large home very clean. Will be responsible for spring cleaning, fall cleanup, and winterization. In the spring there is spreading of approximately 10-20 yards of mulch. In fall there is leaf removal and fall cleanup from late September to Nov 30th. For some guests we want to offer additional amenities a la carte, such as grocery shopping and stocking the refrigerators, meal preparation and cleanup, greeting guests and taking their luggage to their rooms, babysitting, etc. These services will be paid for in addition to the stipend on an hourly basis. We are seeking an attentive couple who will respond to our needs with minimal supervision by text, email, phone, and in person, and help make our property a unique destination on Cape Cod. Must be Non smokers without pets or children. No drama, must have strong work ethic and desire to keep up a high profile property. Must keep professional appearance and conduct at all times around guests and owner. Must have excellent cleaning and landscaping references.
