Hotel Hospitality/Maintenance Couple - Grand Marais, MN

Come live and work in a small resort town on the north shore of Lake Superior. Are you an outdoor enthusiast who likes to work hard so you can play even harder?  This is a great opportunity for a versatile, flexible and highly motivated couple who has excellent customer service skills and wants to enjoy their job and love where they live.  We are looking for a couple to join our team to assist with all hotel operations at 2 hotels.  One of you must be able to do maintenance and the other as front desk/housekeeping (or a mixture of both depending on your skillset!)

This is a full-time, year-round, live on-site, salaried position for 2 people.  We have 2 hotels within a mile of each other that you will be working with so we are looking for a self-motivated couple with an ability to multi-task and who have excellent customer service skills to interact with guests and staff.  Opportunity for the right couple to work into a management position in the future if desired.

Maintenance person must be able to perform day to day maintenance and repairs on buildings inside and out, plus the   upkeep of the property which includes landscaping, lawn mowing, painting and snow removal.  Basic remodeling skills are a plus as we are updating both hotels.  Familiarity with electrical, plumbing, boilers or pools will score even more points!  Interaction with guests is common so top notched customer service is a must.

The second person must have housekeeping and/or Front Desk experience in the hospitality industry. Cleanliness and good customer service are our top priority, and our entire staff works as a team to ensure that our guests are getting top-rated service during their stay with us.  Good people skills are a must, and we can train you in the rest!  Must be physically able to clean, do laundry and go up and down stairs plus be familiar with computers and answering phones.
